Thankfully…

This week is almost over. Without question the hardest week of this program so far due to a great many circumstances. I’m hoping that once Sunday comes, I’ll have a better handle on my life and my work. However, I don’t plan on forfeiting my humanity for dramaturgy; I can’t “take care of myself” first when there are other things that require my attention that are bigger and more important than my problems.

As of right now I need to: have a fucking meeting aboutPlatonov, readThe Inspector General, readThe Defense of Poesey, watch a film version ofEdward II, finish up my American female playwrights page, compile information about John Brown’s Body, and hopefully seeCoriolanus.

That isn’t including the history of criticism presentation I need to do forThe Tempestas well as a community outreach plan for it, or the history of (gay) marriage in the world forLily’s Revenge, and read more of Taylor Mac’s plays. And read other plays, I’m sure.

Here’s hoping the rest of my life holds out long enough to get me through the next two weeks.
