Transience

Everything will be different the next time I come home. Everything seems the same right now. I don’t know if I’ll be different, feel different, act different; I doubt it. Time moves so very fast.

Dear Financial Aid People

No, you do not get to be rude to me because I am freaking out about how much money I’m spending for this program. If any of us had been given any information that was useful, I wouldn’t be freaking out so much!

Instead of saying, “You’ll get your disbursement money sometime in July maybe but we’re not sure yet” you could say something more concrete like “July 9th.” Because guess what?! I HAVE TO PAY RENT FOR JULY 1ST AND I HAVE NO LOAN MONEY TO DO SO! That’s directly out of pocket, as is my food money, and my transportation money.

WANNA KNOW SOMETHING? I don’t exactly have a lot of money to waste! So next time I or anyone else sends an email with a question, maybe you should’ve considered sending an email/letter to the entire group stating what we should expect to receive in the mail.

This month…

So far I saw most ofLove Goes to Pressat The Mint Theatre Company, which was so horrible I actually wound up incredibly sick and having to leave after the third act started (gluten poisoning most likely). SawThe Hunchback Variationsat 59E59 on Thursday. Hopefully am seeingHenry IV part Iat The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ on Tuesday if I can convince my father to go with me ($10 tickets! He has a student ID!). Seeing Julie on Wednesday! Seeing the Act II workshop ofLempickaafter being invited(/informed) by the muthafuckin most awesome playwright, Carson Kreitzer, on Friday at New Dramatists.

And then hauling up the first load of stuff to Belmont. WHAAABBAM June is fucking crazy. I have not finished packing. I HAVE NOT FINISHED PACKING.
